OPERATIONAL MEDICINE PROGRAM SUPPORT

CICONIX staff are knowledgeable in Department of Defense (DoD) medical-specific functional requirements and best-in-class industry capabilities in advanced mobile and remote technologies for clinical care service delivery and workflow improvement.

CICONIX is the Prime contractor providing program development and management advisory services, facilitating the expansion and implementation of advanced clinical care modalities, delivered via advanced telecommunications and information technologies to improve access to care and the patient experience.

Specifically, CICONIX personnel are functioning as integral members of the Virtual Health Branch within the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) and have completed such deliverables as design of the Telemonitoring/Remote Health Monitoring Program and Plan and Teleconsultations Program and Plan; development of the Army Telehealth Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); and the Army Telehealth implementation Guide with SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) objectives aligned to Army Medicine’s 2020 Campaign Plan

MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TA)

CICONIX is a Prime at the Army Institute for Surgical Research (ISR) with tasking across a variety of activities spanning the conduct, coordination, and support of human and animal research that is consistent with Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-compliant laboratory operations. Research staff responsibilities include, but are not limited to, examinations in the domains of chemistry, coagulation, histology, and microbiology, as well as data analysis and reporting with the aim of enhancing knowledge across the full-spectrum of quantitative and qualitative biomedical research in medical/surgical care to promote wound management, recovery, and resilience.

CICONIX also provides medical and scientific research staff (biologists and chemists) to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) Biological Research Laboratory (BRL) to assist in laboratory protocol development, and the applicable studies and data generation for clinicians and Principal Investigators (PI) throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) military medical community. As such, their tasking also involves project oversight, and good laboratory practices (GLP) to ensure that WRNMMC adheres to all Federal, state, DoD, local and institutional regulations, laws and policies related to Human Subject Protection and the ethical conduct of healthcare research.

“LEAN” TRAINING AND ADVISORY

CICONIX personnel bring competencies in leading process engineering and redesign methodologies to help address and improve upon a variety of initiative to gain organizational and operational efficiencies.

CICONIX is a Prime with personnel assisting with Lean and Six Sigma (LSS) strategic planning, project management activities, and the training and development of Army National Guard (ARNG) domain experts (Black Belts) and Project Leads (Green Belts) to address organizational and operational problems that include, but are not limited to improvements in healthcare services delivery. CICONIX provides LSS Master Black Belt support to the Army National Guard. CICONIX support includes Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Business Transformation assistance, organizational self-assessment support, and Business Process Reengineering support. The scope of the work requires a mix of coordination and integration tasks, decision support tasks, and implementation tasks. Further, the complexity of the work is similar in that the tasks are conducted in support of a Major Command including Policy Analysis and development, Decision Support, Performance Improvement and Integration.

TARGETED AND SCALABLE HEALTHCARE TALENT ACQUISITION

CICONIX is a Prime providing allied health professionals to the 99th Medical Group (MDG) which is responsible for providing preventive, emergency and acute care services for approximately 22,000 active-duty members and their dependents, and over 40,000 retirees at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Las Vegas, NV.
