Research Support Services for the Army Institute for Surgical Research (ISR)
CICONIX is a Prime with personnel who are tasked with a variety of activities spanning the conduct, coordination, and support of human and animal research that is consistent with Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-compliant laboratory operations. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to examinations in the domains of chemistry, coagulation, histology, and microbiology, as well as data analysis and reporting with the aim of enhancing knowledge across the full-spectrum of quantitative and qualitative biomedical research in medical/surgical care to promote wound management, recovery and resilience.
Virtual Health Program Support Services for the Army Medical Department (AMEDD)/Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG)
CICONIX is the Prime contractor providing business advisory with the goal of assisting in the expansion or new implementation of clinical care delivery services involving the use of video-conferencing, telecommunications, and related information technologies. Specifically, CICONIX is functioning as integral members of the Virtual Health Branch and has completed deliverables such as design of the Telemonitoring/Remote Health Monitoring Program and Plan and Teleconsultations Program and Plan; development of the Army Telehealth Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); and the Army Telehealth Implementation Guide with objectives all aligned to Army Medicine’s 2020 Campaign Plan. Among other things, CICONIX has also assisted with development of a three-year expansion plan for virtual health services that include establishment of a patient-centered medical home, optimized provider-to-provider teleconsultation capabilities, and an enhanced telehealth company operating model.
Infrastructure Support for the Department of Research Programs, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC)
CICONIX provides medical and scientific research staff (biologists and chemists) to WRNMMC Biological Research Laboratory (BRL) to assist in laboratory protocol development, and the applicable studies and data generation for clinicians and Principal Investigators (PI) throughout the NCR military medical community. As such, their tasking also involves project oversight, and good laboratory practices (GLP) to ensure that WRNMMC adheres to all Federal, state, DoD, local and institutional regulations, laws and policies related to Human Subject Protection and the ethical conduct of healthcare research.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Training and Consulting Services for Office of Business Transformation, Army National Guard (ARNG)
CICONIX is a Prime with staff assisting with LSS strategic planning, LSS project management activities, and the training and development of ARNG domain experts (Black Belts) and Project Leads (Green Belts) to address organizational and operational problems that include, but are not limited to improvements in healthcare services delivery.
Software Development Support for the National Death Index (NDI), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)
Between November 2013 and September 2016, CICONIX provided computing support to assist the Division of Vital Statistics (DVS) IT staff and other contractors in maintaining, operating, and enhancing the National Death Index System (NDI), a resource designed to aid epidemiologists and other health and medical investigators with their mortality ascertainment activities.
Nursing, and Pharmacy and Radiology Technician Staffing at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB)
CICONIX is providing allied health professionals to the 99thMedical Group (MDG) which responsible for providing preventive, emergency and acute care services for approximately 22,000 active-duty members and their dependents, and over 40,000 retirees.
